Southern California has been so incredibly hot over the last month. The lingering heat has summoned daydreams of brisk fresh air, fog, and rain showers. Today those dreams are closer than ever with the first official day of Fall!
I personally love the feeling of Fall. The way family dinners become longer as the days grow shorter. Mornings are darker, adding romance to the ritual of morning coffee. Soon we will be carving pumpkins and excitedly awaiting Trick-or-Treaters at our doors. The air will start to feel light and cool. We'll be able to dig out all of our favorite jackets and boots from the back of our closets. And suddenly any minor gathering will become an excuse for pie - any type of pie. The things we do to harken in Autumn tend to stay with us year after year. We seek comfort in our traditions. It really is the season of comfort.
How do you celebrate the coming of Fall?
